Two Puntland police officers charged with possession of illegal weapon.

Two officers from Puntland Police have been sentenced to one year imprisonment on each of them for possession of illegal weapon and explosive devices.

Military court also ordered the two officials to hand over the remaining catches weapons they posses other wise would face farther consequences.

The indicted officials , Col. Addawe Osman and Lieutenant Sandheere Ali Liibaan who were both them part of Puntland police department in the capital, Garowe.

The two police officers were arrested two months ago in Armo District of Bari region for possession of weapons while they were heading to Bosaso says prosecutor attorney of Puntland military court Abdikareem Hassan Firdhiye.

It is first time that high rank Puntland officers sentenced for violating Puntland security .
