Mogadishu(Puntlandi)— Prime minister of Somali transitional Government Dr. Abdiwali Mohamed Ali said he was optimistic over the success of Somali’s draft constitution which would be approved in last days of May .

Talking to VOA Somali section, Dr. Abdiwali Said the draft constitution was at last stages and representatives from Somali people would vote on it to approve or disapprove it.

The prime minister was more optimistic whether constitution would be approved by representatives of Somali people

“ Every constitution functions when approved it , and I hope the new constitution of Somalia would be passed by Somali envoys who would met in Mogadishu on 15th May 2012” said the Prime minster

Dr. Abdiwali Said consultations and discussions about the draft constitution would continue till 15 May, but right now experts who were busy on finalizing constitution have finished their main job .

When VOA journalist asked , if there was a chance of amendment on the constitution before 15 May , he said there is a wide open chances of making changes,but after 15 May representatives would have some discussions about the constitution .

When prime minister was asked about the people who are not satisfied with the constitution he said, people should bring advices, and alternatives to make change.

“ I don’t want the constitution at all, is meaningless and it is a kind of check point and obstacle . I believe 99% of those boycotting the constitution didn’t read it” said the prime minister.

Dr. Abdi Wali indicates that representatives from Somali People who would be selected by elders would have their meetings for several weeks before they approve constitution.
