Bosaso(Puntlandi)— According to Bosaso Police, Eight children sustained injuries in Bosaso, the financial hub of Puntland on Monday after gunman at rehabilitation centre opened fire on them , Puntlandi reports.

The gunman who was believed the guard of Al-Badriya religious and rehabilitation centre where children are taught in religion and discipline was trying to stop children after they attempted to escape .

Witness told Puntlandi, most of the children sustained minor injuries in lower part of their body such as legs.

Bosaso Police told media that an investigation on the incident was underway , and police probing the reason the guard to use gun to children.

All the wounded children were admitted to Bosaso General Hospital were doctors and nurses are busy for their care and treatment.

There are numerous religious centers in Bosaso in which street children and other internal displaced minors are provided religious teachings.
